The people will still be here in Washington state, some of them working out of their homes.”

Issues abound in urban office markets and loss of small retail unless new space filled soon, such as with condos? Although admirable, digital infrastucture for teleworker’s homes is lagging and will challenge effective work at home. Likely office space smoothing after pandemic(s) vaccine distributed as leadership huddles with staff may occur as boss in a box (digital) has limits. Government users could set the post downtown pace with flex uses, including employee condos in former private or public offices, further reducing commutes, saving salaries offset with living space bonuses, and keeping downtowns nimble.
